Short attention span

Linda has been very antsy the past few days.  She did not like her time at Harmer House either day this week and has said she doesn’t want to go back there again.  Jessica said she was asking for me every few minutes.  She seems to have no idea of the short passage of time.  When we got back this afternoon she was hungry.  I made her a tomato sandwich and she ate two bites and then wanted to wrap it up to travel – where I don’t know.  I made her sit at her desk and eat most of it because I had an important email to get out.  Half way through she got up and went outside and started down the walk.  I called her back and said we could go on our rounds in 5 minutes if she waited.  She agreed and then when we got upstairs to the office she said she was tired and wanted to go to bed.  I tucked her in and she has been there for the past 45 minutes.  I’m beginning to think there has been a change.  Wondering if the trip for the Cemetery Service had something to do with it.  I forgot her patches so she was 3 days without that medication.  She’s back on the patch but seems to have gotten progressively more distraught since then.

We are looking forward to a good weekend.  Perhaps a little walking, some shopping for a new sofa in the family room and maybe some freezing and jam making.  Perhaps that will take her mind away from the negative thoughts and we can start afresh.

I seem to be in good shape.  My legs are better and the dietician has helped a lot with my weight, diabetes and mental health so that I can deal with these issues in a calm and relaxed fashion which doesn’t agitate Linda further.
